About the project

 The participants of the project will get to know the traditions of Christmas in selected countries and in Poland together, make friends with the world map and develop materials for cultural lessons in English. Interesting exercises will be developed to consolidate the vocabulary related to Christmas, the names of selected countries, their capitals and flags. Working in groups, students get to know their peers from partner schools using safe ICT tools.

AIMS

Students get to know:

• the names of the Christmas traditions in selected countries of the world

• names, locations, flags and capitals of selected countries of the world,

• vocabulary related to the preparation of holiday dishes,

• tourist attractions of selected countries of the world

WORK PROCESS

1. Presentation of partner schools. (October 2021)

2. Assignment of tasks, choice of countries. (October 2021)

3. Competition for the project logo. (October - November 2021)

4. Working with the map and flags. (November 2021)

5. Preparation of lessons introducing the vocabulary related to the traditions of Christmas. (November 2021)

6. Students' work - searching for Christmas traditions in the selected country. (November 2021)

7. Creating a virtual map with attractions in selected countries in the Genially program. (November 2021)

8. Preparation of traditional Christmas dishes and preparation of a cookbook with dishes (December 2021)

9. Developing quizzes and conducting online tournaments (countries, locations, flags, traditions). (December 2021) (Nearpod, Kahoot, Quizziz)

10. Development of a Christmas escape room. (December 2021)
